After breakfast, begin your first cycling adventure from your hotel in Zhangjiajie City. Ride through the city streets and countryside roads toward the spectacular Tianmen Mountain National Park.

The route starts with approximately 15 km of cycling from downtown Zhangjiajie to the area near the Tianmen Fox Fairy Theater, where you will reach the foot of Tianmen Mountain. From here, continue your challenging ride along the famous Tongtian Avenue (Avenue Toward Heaven), a legendary mountain road featuring 99 dramatic bends winding upward toward Tianmen Cave.

This section is one of the most exciting parts of the cycling journey, with steep climbs, sharp turns, and spectacular mountain views. The road requires good physical strength and careful riding, so cyclists should follow the tour leader closely and maintain a safe pace.

After lunch and a short rest, continue exploring Tianmen Mountain on foot. Walk to the incredible Tianmen Cave, a huge natural opening in the mountain known as the “Gateway to Heaven.” Continue to experience the thrilling Glass Skywalk, a transparent cliffside walkway offering breathtaking views of the valley below.

After sightseeing, return to Zhangjiajie by cycling or shuttle bus depending on the group’s physical condition and timing. Enjoy a relaxing evening after an exciting day of mountain adventure.

Today, start cycling from downtown Zhangjiajie toward the world-famous Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most spectacular mountain landscapes in the world.

The cycling route follows peaceful countryside roads, passing through traditional villages and rural landscapes. Compared with the main highways, the selected route allows you to enjoy a quieter journey surrounded by farmland, forests, and local village scenery while avoiding busy traffic areas.

After arriving near Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, check in at your hotel outside the park and take a short rest.

In the afternoon, you have an optional visit to Huangshi Village, one of the best viewpoints inside Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. To reach the summit, you can choose to hike up more than 3,000 stone steps or take a cable car (optional). The climb is physically demanding, but the reward is a spectacular panoramic view of the famous sandstone peak forest.

Standing on Huangshi Village, you can admire hundreds of unique rock pillars rising through the mist, surrounded by green forests and deep valleys. The viewpoint offers one of the best photography opportunities in Zhangjiajie.

Today’s route is relatively relaxed, allowing you to enjoy the peaceful mountain scenery, clear streams, forests, and unique sandstone peaks at a comfortable pace.

Start cycling through the park area and follow the scenic routes surrounded by lush forests, winding streams, and towering cliffs. The route takes you through the famous Golden Whip Stream, one of Zhangjiajie’s most beautiful natural attractions. The stream is known for its crystal-clear water, fresh mountain air, and dramatic rock formations rising on both sides.

You can choose to cycle or hike along the approximately 7-kilometer Golden Whip Stream trail, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity to observe local wildlife, rare plants, and the natural beauty of the valley.

Continue cycling toward Shuiraosimen (Water Winding Around Four Gates), a famous area where several valleys meet and where visitors can enjoy impressive views of the surrounding peak forests.

Ride along less crowded roads away from heavy traffic and enjoy the relaxed pace of countryside life. Along the way, you will pass through small villages surrounded by mountains, farmland, and green forests, offering a closer look at the natural environment and local lifestyle of the Zhangjiajie region.

Continue cycling toward Sanguansi Town, an important riverside area located east of Wulingyuan. The town is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery and serves as a historic transportation point along the Suoxi River.

After arriving at Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area, enjoy free time or join your guide to explore this world-famous attraction. Walk across the spectacular Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, one of the most famous glass bridges in the world, suspended high above the canyon with breathtaking views of cliffs, forests, and valleys below.
