    Beijing Arrival

    Ni Hao! Welcome to Beijing, the capital city of China and one of the most historically significant cities in the world.

    Upon arrival at Beijing Capital Airport or railway station, you will be warmly greeted by your local guide and transferred to your hotel in a private comfortable vehicle. The rest of the day is free for you to rest after your journey or explore the surroundings at your own pace.

    Beijing is a dynamic blend of ancient heritage and modern development. If time allows, you may take a gentle walk near your hotel area to experience the atmosphere of China’s political and cultural center.

    Arrival Information: Beijing is well connected with major global cities. You can fly directly from destinations such as London, Paris, Singapore, Sydney, and many major cities in China. High-speed train connections are also available from cities like Shanghai (5–6 hours), Xi’an (5.5 hours), and Guangzhou (8–9.5 hours).

    Beijing Imperial City Discovery | Tiananmen Square – Forbidden City – Hutongs – Summer Palace

    After breakfast, begin your full-day exploration of Beijing’s imperial history with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. This iconic landmark has witnessed many important historical events, including the founding announcement of the People’s Republic of China at Tiananmen Gate.

    Continue your journey into the magnificent Forbidden City (Palace Museum), the largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex in the world. With nearly 10,000 rooms, it served as the home of 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. As you walk through grand halls, golden rooftops, and ceremonial courtyards, you will experience the power and elegance of imperial China.

    After lunch, enjoy a traditional rickshaw ride through Beijing Hutongs, a maze of narrow alleyways lined with ancient courtyard houses. This is one of the best ways to experience authentic old Beijing life. You will visit local shops, explore traditional streets, and even step inside a local family courtyard to learn about daily life and cultural traditions.

    In the afternoon, continue to the beautiful Summer Palace, the largest and most well-preserved royal garden in China. Walk along the peaceful Kunming Lake, admire the artistic beauty of the Long Corridor, and explore elegant pavilions, bridges, and landscaped gardens designed for imperial leisure.

    Beijing Great Wall Experience | Temple of Heaven – Mutianyu Great Wall Adventure

    After breakfast, visit the magnificent Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties once prayed for good harvests. Today, it is also a lively public park where locals practice Tai Chi, dancing, singing, kite flying, and traditional calligraphy, offering a glimpse into everyday Beijing life.

    Afterwards, drive approximately 1.5 hours to the world-famous Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the best-preserved and most scenic sections of the Great Wall of China.

    Take a cable car up to the wall and begin your walking journey along ancient stone paths and watchtowers that stretch across the mountains. The scenery is breathtaking, with rolling hills, dense forests, and endless wall ridges disappearing into the horizon. This section is less crowded, making it ideal for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

    For those who enjoy more activity, you may hike between watchtowers for different viewpoints and photo opportunities. The Great Wall offers both historical depth and natural beauty, making it one of the highlights of your China journey.

    Beijing to Chengdu High-Speed Train Journey

    This morning, your guide will escort you to Beijing West Railway Station to board a high-speed bullet train bound for Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province. The journey takes approximately 8–10 hours, with departure around 07:00 and arrival in Chengdu at about 14:40.

    As the train leaves Beijing, you will witness a gradual transformation of China’s landscape. The scenery shifts from urban skylines and industrial zones to wide countryside plains, river valleys, mountain ranges, and traditional rural settlements. Along the way, you can enjoy a comfortable and relaxing journey while observing the vast geographical diversity of China from north to southwest.

    This train experience is not only transportation but also a scenic cultural journey across regions, offering a unique perspective of modern and traditional China side by side.

    Upon arrival at Chengdu East Railway Station, your local guide and driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in a private vehicle. The rest of the day is free for leisure, relaxation, or a gentle exploration of nearby streets and local life in Chengdu.

    Chengdu Panda Experience & Leshan Giant Buddha Discovery

    After breakfast, begin your day at the world-famous Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, the most important giant panda conservation center in the world.

    This well-designed ecological park is home to over 100 giant pandas. You will walk through bamboo forests and carefully designed natural habitats where pandas of different ages live. Observe them eating bamboo, climbing trees, rolling on grass, and interacting playfully. The nursery area is especially charming, where newborn panda cubs are cared for in a safe environment. The Panda Museum also provides detailed exhibits about panda evolution, breeding research, and global conservation efforts.

    After lunch, drive approximately 2 hours to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Leshan Giant Buddha, one of the most remarkable ancient engineering achievements in China.

    Carved into a cliff face during the Tang Dynasty, the Buddha stands at an impressive 71 meters tall. It was originally constructed to calm turbulent river waters at the confluence of three rivers. As you walk along the scenic mountain paths, you will see the Buddha from different angles, including a close-up view from its massive feet. The intricate details of the head, ears, and body reflect extraordinary craftsmanship from more than 1,200 years ago.

    The surrounding area features dramatic river landscapes, lush mountains, and peaceful temple surroundings, making it both a cultural and natural highlight. After sightseeing, return to Chengdu for overnight rest.

    Chengdu Cultural Experience & Departure

    After breakfast, begin your final day in Chengdu with a relaxing visit to People’s Park, one of the best places to experience the city’s famous slow-paced lifestyle.

    Inside the park, locals gather daily in traditional teahouses, enjoying long conversations over cups of jasmine tea. You will also see people practicing Tai Chi, singing folk songs, dancing in groups, playing mahjong, or simply relaxing under trees. The park provides a true reflection of Chengdu’s identity as one of China’s most peaceful and livable cities.

    Next, continue to Jinli Old Street, a vibrant cultural district known for its traditional Sichuan-style architecture, red lanterns, local snacks, handicrafts, and folk performances. Walking through Jinli feels like stepping into a living ancient street filled with color, aroma, and cultural atmosphere. It is also one of the best places to try authentic Sichuan street food and shop for souvenirs.

    After the tour, you will be transferred to Chengdu Airport or Railway Station for your departure. End of service.
