After breakfast, meet your guide and driver to begin your exploration of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the first national forest park in China and a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its extraordinary sandstone peaks, forests, valleys, and natural scenery.

Start your adventure by taking the cable car up to Huangshi Village, one of the most impressive viewpoints in Zhangjiajie. Located at an altitude of about 1,080 meters, Huangshi Village provides a wide panoramic view of countless stone peaks and mountain forests. Walk along the mountaintop trails to discover famous viewpoints including Star Picking Stand and Five Finger Peak, where uniquely shaped cliffs and pillars create unforgettable photo opportunities.

After exploring Huangshi Village, take the cable car down and continue to the peaceful Golden Whip Stream, one of the most beautiful valleys in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Follow the clear stream along the scenic walking path surrounded by towering cliffs, lush vegetation, fresh air, and colorful seasonal flowers. The tranquil atmosphere makes it a perfect place to experience the natural beauty of Zhangjiajie.

During the walk, you may also encounter wild monkeys living in the forest. The combination of crystal-clear water, green forests, and dramatic mountain walls creates one of Zhangjiajie’s most relaxing and photogenic landscapes.

After breakfast, head to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park to explore the most iconic landscapes of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today’s journey focuses on the spectacular sandstone pillar formations that make Zhangjiajie famous worldwide.

Begin your adventure at Ten-mile Gallery, a beautiful valley route where sightseeing trams pass through a landscape filled with dramatic rock formations. Along the way, admire famous natural sculptures such as The God of Longevity Welcoming Guests, The Old Herb Picker, and Three Sisters Peaks, creating a fascinating natural gallery surrounded by forests and mountains.

Continue to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area by taking the spectacular Bailong Elevator, the world’s fastest and tallest outdoor elevator. Rising from the valley floor to the mountain top in just about 1.5 minutes, the elevator provides an exciting experience and impressive views of the surrounding cliffs and peaks.

Explore the legendary Avatar Mountain, where towering quartzite sandstone pillars inspired the floating mountains in the movie Avatar. Walk along the mountain trails to visit Ecstasy Terrace, offering breathtaking views of hundreds of unique peaks covered by mist and clouds. Continue to the natural wonder of First Bridge Under Heaven, a naturally formed stone bridge connecting two cliffs and one of Zhangjiajie’s most impressive geological formations.

In the afternoon, take a sightseeing bus to Tianzi Mountain, known as the “King of Peak Forests.” At Helong Park, enjoy panoramic views of famous formations including Yubi Peak and countless sandstone pillars stretching into the distance. The mountain scenery changes constantly with weather conditions, creating different views of clouds, forests, and peaks throughout the day.

After sightseeing, take the Tianzi Mountain cable car down and transfer to your hotel in Zhangjiajie downtown.

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up for an exciting journey to Tianmen Mountain National Park, one of Zhangjiajie’s most famous natural attractions. Known as the “Mountain of Heaven,” Tianmen Mountain combines spectacular scenery, thrilling experiences, and Buddhist cultural heritage.

Start with the famous Tianmen Mountain Cable Car, one of the longest mountain cableways in the world. The approximately 7,455-meter-long ride takes you from Zhangjiajie city center to the mountain summit at more than 1,400 meters above sea level, offering incredible aerial views of forests, valleys, and the winding Tongtian Avenue (Avenue Toward Heaven) below.

At the mountain top, visit Tianmen Temple, a historic Buddhist temple surrounded by green forests and mountain scenery. Continue to experience the thrilling Glass Skywalk, a transparent cliffside walkway that gives visitors the feeling of walking above the clouds. Then challenge yourself on the dramatic Ghost Valley Plank Road, a narrow pathway attached to the steep mountain cliff with spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

Next, take the mountain escalator to reach the magnificent Tianmen Cave, a huge natural arch formed by geological changes over thousands of years. The cave measures approximately 131.5 meters high, 57 meters wide, and 60 meters deep, making it one of the most impressive natural wonders in Zhangjiajie. After visiting Tianmen Cave, descend the famous 999 Steps (Stairway to Heaven) and enjoy the dramatic mountain atmosphere.

After the Tianmen Mountain adventure, drive about 80 kilometers (around 1.5 hours) to Furong Ancient Town, a beautiful Tujia ethnic town built beside a waterfall. In the evening, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this historic town, where traditional wooden houses, ancient streets, and the flowing waterfall create a unique night view.
