4 Days Idyllic Wuyuan Wangxian Valley Tour with Lingshan Mountain

After breakfast, drive about 1 hour to Huangling Village (篁岭), a dramatic hillside settlement famous for its “hanging village” layout and agricultural scenery.

Take a cable car up the mountain and begin exploring the village:

Start with Cao Family Ancestral Hall (曹氏宗祠), a well-preserved Ming Dynasty structure showcasing carved wooden beams, ancient plaques, and traditional Hui-style courtyard design. Your guide will explain the cultural importance of ancestral worship in local life.

Continue to the Sunbaking Workshop (晒秋工坊), where you will see the famous Shaiqiu (晒秋) tradition. Bright red chilies, golden corn, beans, and seasonal harvests are arranged in circular bamboo trays on wooden racks, creating a living painting of rural life. Each season brings a different color palette, with autumn offering the most vivid scenery.

Next, walk through stone-paved lanes and small alleyways leading to viewpoints:

• Viewing Platform No. 3, overlooking layered terraced fields and clustered village houses
• Cross the glass Leixin Bridge (立新桥) suspended above the valley for a thrilling perspective

After breakfast, begin your exploration of Wangxian Valley (望仙谷), a former mining site transformed into a fantasy-style canyon attraction combining natural cliffs, waterfalls, and wooden architecture.

Start with a walk along the canyon paths toward White Crane Cliff (白鹤崖), one of the best viewpoints in the valley. From here, you can see layered cliffs, suspended buildings, winding pathways, and green mountain scenery stretching into the distance.

Continue exploring cliffside walkways, bridges, and stairways that connect different levels of the valley. Along the way, you will see waterfalls, narrow rock passages, and traditional-style wooden houses built directly into the cliff walls.

Later, enter Yanpu Old Streets (岩铺老街), a lively cultural area divided into themed lanes:

After enjoying the night scenery, return to your hotel inside or near the valley for overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive about 1 hour to Lingshan Mountain (灵山), known as the “Dragon Backbone of China” for its dramatic granite formations and layered peaks.

Begin your ascent using the cable car and modern mountain transport system. One of the highlights is Asia’s long outdoor escalator system, allowing you to ascend gradually while enjoying mountain views without strenuous hiking.

Explore the main scenic areas:

• Sky Mirror (天空之镜), a glass platform that reflects sky, clouds, and surrounding peaks
• Huabiao Peak (华表峰), a striking rock formation symbolizing strength and stability
• Chinese Dragon Ridge (中国龙脊), a long continuous ridge resembling a dragon stretching across the mountains
• Additional formations such as “Immortal Guiding the Way” and “Return of the Great Sage,” shaped by centuries of erosion

From viewing platforms, you can see rolling mountains, deep valleys, and, when weather allows, spectacular seas of clouds flowing between peaks.
