Today is a full dedicated birding day inside Nonggang National Nature Reserve (弄岗国家级自然保护区), focusing on its famous bird hides and surrounding karst forest ecosystems.

Early morning begins at one of the productive bird hides, where feeding activity is at its peak. The main target is the iconic Nonggang Babbler (弄岗穗鹛), often seen in small groups moving through the understory and bamboo edges.

Other key species regularly encountered at hides and forest edges include:

Today is another full day dedicated to maximizing encounters with Nonggang’s (弄岗) most iconic birds. The focus is a mix of early morning bird hides, mid-day forest walks, and late afternoon return visits to productive feeding stations.

Early morning again offers the best chance to observe the flagship species, especially the elusive Nonggang Babbler (弄岗穗鹛), often appearing in family groups along forest understory and bamboo edges.

We continue targeting a rich selection of karst forest specialists, including:
