3 Days Xian Group Tour with Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and Huashan Mountain

In the morning, your English-speaking guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in downtown Xi’an. After gathering all group members, you will drive about 1 hour to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in the world.

Before entering the main site, you will first visit a Terracotta Figures Factory, where you can observe traditional techniques used to craft replica warriors. Skilled artisans will demonstrate how clay figures are shaped, assembled, and painted, giving you a deeper understanding of ancient craftsmanship.

Next, continue to the Terracotta Warriors Museum, where you will explore the three main excavation pits:

• Pit 1: The largest hall, displaying thousands of life-sized infantry soldiers and chariots arranged in battle formation.
• Pit 2: The most diverse pit, featuring archers, cavalry, crossbowmen, and war chariots with detailed military structure.
• Pit 3: The command center, smaller in size but highly significant for understanding the overall military strategy.

Your guide will explain the history of Emperor Qin Shi Huang and how this underground army was built over 2,000 years ago to protect his tomb.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you will continue to the Banpo Museum, China’s first prehistoric archaeological museum. Here you will explore the remains of a 6,000-year-old Neolithic settlement of the Yangshao culture. Exhibits include ancient tools, pottery, and reconstructed village scenes that show early matrilineal clan society life.

By late afternoon, you will return to your hotel in Xi’an.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a full-day city sightseeing tour covering Xi’an’s most iconic cultural landmarks.

First, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda & Xi’an Museum, a peaceful Tang Dynasty-era site surrounded by gardens. Inside the museum, you will see a rich collection of relics that reflect Xi’an’s history as the ancient capital of multiple dynasties.

Then continue to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square, one of Xi’an’s most famous cultural landmarks. You will have time to walk around the square and view the pagoda, originally built to store Buddhist scriptures brought back by the monk Xuanzang from India.

After lunch, head to the Ancient City Wall, the best-preserved city wall in China. You can walk or optionally rent a bicycle to ride along the top of the wall, enjoying panoramic views of both modern and ancient Xi’an blending together.

Next, visit Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square, the symbolic heart of the city. This area combines historic architecture with modern shopping streets, creating a vibrant atmosphere for photos and exploration.

Finally, explore the Muslim Quarter, a lively cultural and food street. Here you can try local specialties such as roujiamo (Chinese burger), lamb skewers, and hand-pulled noodles while experiencing Xi’an’s rich multicultural heritage.

Return to your hotel in the evening.

After breakfast, you will depart Xi’an for a 2-hour drive to Mount Huashan, one of China’s Five Great Sacred Mountains, famous for its dramatic cliffs and steep hiking paths.

Upon arrival, take a shuttle bus to the cable car station and ride the cable car up to North Peak, enjoying breathtaking views of deep valleys and sharp mountain ridges.

Once at the summit, your guide will explain the recommended hiking routes, and you will have free time to explore the mountain at your own pace. You may visit several peaks depending on your energy level, including scenic viewpoints with cloud seas and dramatic rock formations.

• The famous Plank Walk (optional activity) for thrill-seekers
• Panoramic viewpoints overlooking five interconnected peaks
• Seasonal cloud seas creating surreal mountain landscapes

Lunch is not included today, so you may bring snacks or purchase simple food on the mountain (limited options available).

In the late afternoon, take the cable car back down and return to Xi’an by vehicle. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of your tour.
