3 Days Wuzhou Liubao Tea Culture Tour

08:00–09:10 | Drive to Liubao Town (六堡镇)

After breakfast, depart from Wuzhou for Liubao Town. The journey takes around 70 minutes.

During the drive, watch the documentary “Tea Boat Route” and learn about the history of Liubao Tea transportation.

09:10–10:10 | Liubao Tea Museum (六堡茶博物馆)

Visit the museum to explore the complete history of Liubao Tea, from its ancient origins to modern development.

The exhibition introduces:

• Historical development from Tang and Song periods
• Tea trade during Ming and Qing dynasties
• Overseas tea markets in Southeast Asia
• Ancient Tea Boat Route transportation scenes
• Different tea varieties, ages, and storage examples

10:20–12:00 | Heishishan Tea Factory – National Intangible Heritage Base (黑石山茶厂)

Visit this key tea culture site and explore traditional workshops, natural aging storage areas, and tea production facilities.

A tea master introduces traditional Liubao Tea techniques, including spreading, fixation, rolling, fermentation, drying, and long-term storage.

Join a tea appreciation class and learn:

• Professional tea brewing methods
• How to observe tea color
• How to identify aroma
• How to distinguish aged tea characteristics

Taste different aged Liubao Tea varieties and compare their flavors.

12:10–13:10 | Liubao Tea-Themed Lunch

Enjoy a tea-themed meal featuring:

13:30–15:00 | Baji Ancient Tea Garden (八集古茶园)

Walk through the historic tea gardens and discover old Liubao tea trees.

Local tea farmers introduce traditional tea varieties and demonstrate professional picking methods, including selecting one bud with one leaf and one bud with two leaves.

Visitors can participate in tea picking, with fresh leaves collected for the handmade tea workshop on Day 3.

Enjoy photography from the mountain viewpoints overlooking terraced tea fields.

15:20–16:00 | Hekou Wharf (合口码头) – Tea Boat Route Origin

Visit the historic riverside wharf where Liubao Tea was traditionally loaded and transported.

Learn how tea workers carried tea baskets from mountain villages through waterways toward larger trading routes.

Walk along the river and discuss the importance of water transportation in the development of Liubao Tea.

Optional bamboo raft sightseeing can be arranged.

16:10–17:00 | Liubao Tea Street (六堡茶第一街)

Enjoy free time to taste local teas and explore tea shops. Learn about different Liubao Tea products including loose tea, tea cakes, and tea bricks.

Evening | Tea Village Dinner and Tea Salon

Enjoy a tea village dinner followed by an evening tea-sharing session to review the day’s experiences.

Enjoy breakfast in the tea village environment.

09:00–11:30 | Handmade Liubao Tea Workshop

Participate in a traditional tea-making workshop using the fresh tea leaves collected on Day 2.

• Traditional fixation demonstration
• Handmade rolling experience
• Explanation of fermentation principles
• Tea packaging and personal souvenir preparation

Sunny Weather:
Visit Fengche Mountain Viewing Platform (风车山观景台) for panoramic views of the tea mountains.

Rainy Weather:
Join an advanced tea appreciation class focusing on storage quality, aged aroma identification, and distinguishing good tea from poor storage conditions.

14:10–15:20 | Return to Wuzhou

Drive back to Wuzhou City.

15:30–16:30 | Tea Culture Study Summary Session

Complete the final review session, including:

• Group sharing of tea culture experiences
• Review of Tea Boat Route history
• Discussion of traditional tea techniques
• Distribution of study materials and souvenirs

The tour officially ends after the summary session. Guests can continue independently or transfer to Wuzhou South Railway Station (梧州南站) for departure.
