3 Days Chongqing Tour with Wulong Karst Landscape

Today's highlights: Xiannvshan Town - Furong Cave

After breakfast, depart from Chongqing and drive to Wulong County (approx. 2.5–3 hours), entering the world-famous Wulong Karst Geopark, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site known for its extraordinary limestone formations, caves, and canyon landscapes.

Begin with Furong Cave, a spectacular underground limestone cave often described as the “Natural Underground Art Palace.” Take a scenic cable car ride above the Wujiang River, offering sweeping views of emerald waters, steep cliffs, and forested mountains before entering the cave system.

Inside Furong Cave, explore a vast underground world stretching approximately 2,700 meters, formed over 1.2 million years of geological evolution. The cave contains over 70 types of stalactite formations, including stone waterfalls, crystal columns, cave curtains, and giant mineral structures illuminated by artistic lighting that highlights their natural beauty.

Walk through different chambers and corridors showcasing geological formations, underground rivers, and ancient mineral deposits, offering a deep insight into the formation of karst landscapes in South China.

After the visit, continue to Xiannvshan Town (approx. 70 minutes) and check in at your mountain hotel. Enjoy free time in a cool highland environment surrounded by forests, meadows, and rural scenery.

Optional evening experience: Watch the “Impression Wulong” outdoor performance, directed by Zhang Yimou, combining natural landscapes with ethnic culture, music, and dramatic storytelling representing the Chongqing–Sichuan region.

Today's highlights: Three Natural Bridges - Longshuixia Gap - Back to Chongqing

After breakfast, continue exploring the highlights of the Wulong Karst landscape, one of the most spectacular geological regions in the world.

Visit the Three Natural Bridges Scenic Area, the largest natural bridge group in Asia. Take a sightseeing elevator down into the valley and explore massive limestone arches formed by millions of years of erosion. The area features deep sinkholes, underground caves, waterfalls, and dramatic canyon systems.

Walk along well-designed trails passing iconic formations such as Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge, while enjoying views of cliffs, forest valleys, and limestone karst landscapes. This area is also a famous filming location for international movies such as Transformers IV.

Continue to Longshuixia Gap, a narrow and deep limestone canyon known as a “natural oxygen bar.” Walk along suspended wooden pathways surrounded by vertical cliffs, dense forests, waterfalls, and narrow rock corridors. The environment is cool, humid, and rich in negative oxygen ions, making it one of the most refreshing natural experiences in Wulong.

After sightseeing, return to Chongqing downtown. Arrival is expected in the evening. Tour ends upon arrival.
