3 Days Changbai Mountain Classic Tour

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and begin a full-day exploration of the magnificent Changbai Mountain North Slope.

Known as one of China’s most famous mountains, Changbai Mountain is a dormant volcano featuring ancient forests, rare wildlife, volcanic landscapes, alpine lakes, waterfalls, and hot springs. The mountain is covered with snow for much of the year, creating breathtaking scenery in every season.

Take the sightseeing bus and scenic vehicle up to Heavenly Lake (Tianchi), located at an altitude of approximately 2,189 meters. Recognized as the highest volcanic lake in the world, Heavenly Lake is surrounded by 16 mountain peaks and looks like a piece of blue jade placed among the mountains.

When weather conditions are favorable, enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the lake, snow-covered peaks, and endless sky. The peaceful atmosphere and dramatic volcanic landscape make Heavenly Lake the highlight of Changbai Mountain.

Continue downhill to visit Changbai Waterfall, where water from Heavenly Lake flows down a steep cliff from a height of approximately 68 meters. The waterfall is one of the most famous volcanic waterfalls in the world and creates a magnificent scene in both summer and winter.

Next, explore Small Heavenly Lake, hidden inside a beautiful birch forest. Walk along the peaceful riverside paths and enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the primitive forest.

Continue to Green Deep Pool, often called the “Little Jiuzhaigou Valley of Northeast China.” The emerald-colored water, small waterfalls, and forest-covered cliffs create a graceful and peaceful landscape.

The final stop is Valley Forest, a volcanic valley formed after ancient eruptions. The valley is around 50 meters deep and stretches approximately 3,000 meters, with giant rocks, ancient trees, and rich vegetation creating a natural oxygen bar.

After sightseeing, return to Erdao Baihe Town.

Overnight: Erdao Baihe Town

Get up early in the morning and travel to Mojie Scenic Area, one of the most unique and mysterious landscapes around Changbai Mountain.

The name “Mojie” means “demon world,” inspired by its fascinating winter scenery. Here, a never-frozen river flows through the primitive forest, surrounded by mist, ancient tree trunks, and beautiful rime ice formations covering the branches.

The special landscape is created by warm hot spring water from Changbai Mountain. In winter, when temperatures drop below freezing, the contrast between steaming river mist and frozen forests creates a magical scene that attracts photographers from around the world.

The best time for photography is usually early morning, when sunlight, mist, and rime combine to create the most beautiful atmosphere.

Enjoy hot spring river rafting through the mysterious forest landscape, floating on warm water while surrounded by snow-covered trees and mist.

After sightseeing, your guide and driver will escort you to Changbaishan Airport or Changbaishan Railway Station for your onward flight or train journey.
