2 Days Huangshan Group Tour – Yellow Mountain Sunrise & Sea of Clouds Experience

Hotel Pickup & Transfer to Huangshan

Around 8:30 AM, your English-speaking guide will meet you in your hotel lobby holding a name sign. After pickup, transfer by vehicle to the famous Huangshan Scenic Area (黄山风景区).

Before departure, your guide can assist you in storing large luggage at your hotel in Tunxi (屯溪) free of charge. Travelers may also store luggage at the foot of the mountain for approximately CNY 20 per suitcase.

Scenic Area Shuttle & Yungu Cable Station

After arriving at the scenic area transfer center, take the official eco-shuttle bus to Yungu Cable Station (云谷索道站). Travelers may choose to hike or take the optional Yungu Cable Car to save energy while enjoying magnificent aerial mountain views.

Optional Cable Car Fee:

• Yungu Cable Car: CNY 80 per person each way

Explore Huangshan’s Iconic Scenic Areas

Begin your unforgettable Huangshan hiking experience through some of the mountain’s most famous landscapes and viewpoints.

Main attractions visited on Day 1 include:

• White Goose Peak (白鹅峰) – panoramic mountain viewing area
• Beginning-to-Believe Peak (始信峰) – famous for uniquely shaped ancient pine trees
• Black Tiger Pine (黑虎松) – one of Huangshan’s most legendary pine trees
• Cloud-Dispelling Pavilion (排云亭) – spectacular viewpoint overlooking layered mountain scenery
• Flying-over Rock (飞来石) – Huangshan’s iconic balancing rock formation
• Bright Summit (光明顶) – one of the highest and most famous peaks in Huangshan
• Xihai Grand Canyon (西海大峡谷) – dramatic canyon scenery with steep cliffs and breathtaking hiking trails

Along the journey, your guide will share stories about Huangshan’s cultural history, geology, and famous landscapes while allowing plenty of time for photography and rest stops.

Mountain Lunch & Overnight Stay

Lunch will be enjoyed at a mountain restaurant inside the scenic area at your own expense.

In the late afternoon, check into your arranged mountaintop hotel for an overnight stay surrounded by Huangshan’s spectacular scenery.

Accommodation on the mountain is at your own expense.

Enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere, sunset views, and cool alpine environment during the evening.

Optional Sunrise Viewing

Early in the morning, travelers may have the opportunity to witness the famous Huangshan sunrise, depending on weather conditions. Watching the golden sunlight rise above the sea of clouds is considered one of the most unforgettable experiences in Huangshan.

Continue Exploring Huangshan

After sunrise and breakfast, continue visiting several of Huangshan’s most iconic natural attractions:

• Lion Peak (狮子峰) – one of Huangshan’s classic scenic peaks
• Monkey Gazing at the Sea (猴子观海) – a legendary rock formation overlooking cloud-filled valleys
• Brush Pen Peak (梦笔生花) – famous rock formation resembling a writing brush blooming with flowers

Morning hiking offers quieter trails, cooler temperatures, and excellent photography opportunities before larger crowds arrive.

Descend the Mountain

Around 11:00 AM, begin descending Huangshan either on foot or by optional cable car.

Return to Huangshan City

After descending the mountain, transfer back to Huangshan City, arriving approximately between 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM depending on traffic and weather conditions.

The tour concludes upon arrival in the city.
