Morning | Guilin (桂林) Hotel Pickup – High-Speed Train to Sanjiang (三江)

In the morning, your guide will meet you at your hotel in Guilin (桂林) and transfer you to the railway station. The transfer usually takes around 30–60 minutes depending on your hotel location.

Board a high-speed train from Guilin (桂林) to Sanjiang County (三江县). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes, offering a comfortable ride through the scenic landscapes of northern Guangxi (广西).

After arriving at Sanjiang Railway Station (三江火车站), meet your local driver and continue by vehicle to Chengyang Bazhai Scenic Area (程阳八寨景区), about 40 minutes away.

Morning–Afternoon | Explore Chengyang Bazhai Dong Villages (程阳八寨侗寨)

Arrive at Chengyang Bazhai Dong Villages (程阳八寨侗寨), one of the best places to experience authentic Dong ethnic culture. The area consists of eight traditional Dong villages surrounded by mountains, forests, and rivers.

The visit focuses mainly on Ma’an Village (马安寨), Yan Village (岩寨), and Ping Village (平寨), where visitors can experience traditional wooden architecture and local customs.

The bridge features five pavilion-style towers with elegant roofs and is constructed entirely from wood without nails. Traditionally, it provided shelter for villagers traveling between settlements and served as a social gathering place.

Dong Drum Towers (侗族鼓楼)

Explore several impressive Dong Drum Towers (侗族鼓楼), including:

During your village walk, enjoy traditional Dong music performances featuring the Dong Pipa (侗族琵琶), a four-stringed traditional instrument. Local musicians often combine instrumental performances with folk songs, reflecting the Dong people’s strong musical traditions.

Dong Food Experience (侗族美食体验)
