1 Day Beijing Shilinxia Gorge and Jingdong Grand Cave Tour

07:00 – Hotel Pickup in Beijing

Your English-speaking private driver will meet you in the lobby of your hotel in Beijing（北京）. After confirming the day’s arrangements, travel northeast toward Pinggu District（平谷区）. The drive normally takes approximately two hours, depending on traffic.

09:00–12:00 – Explore Shilinxia Gorge

Arrive at Shilinxia Gorge（京东石林峡）, where your driver will assist you with purchasing entrance tickets and any optional cableway or glass-platform tickets. You will then enter the scenic area and explore independently.

Walk through the forested valley to see colorful pools, flowing streams, seasonal waterfalls, steep cliffs, and unusual stone formations. Depending on your fitness level, you may follow the lower gorge trail, climb the mountain paths, or take a cableway toward the summit.

At the upper mountain area, you can optionally visit the UFO Glass Viewing Platform（UFO玻璃观景台） for panoramic views across the gorge and surrounding peaks. After completing your visit, return to the entrance and meet your driver at the agreed location.

12:00–13:00 – Local Lunch

Enjoy lunch at a countryside restaurant near the scenic area at your own expense. Popular local dishes include farmhouse-style chicken, stewed fish, seasonal mountain vegetables, corn cakes, and traditional northern Chinese stews.

Vegetarian, halal, and other special meals can be arranged with advance notice.

13:00–13:30 – Transfer to Jingdong Grand Cave

After lunch, continue by private vehicle to Jingdong Grand Cave（京东大溶洞）. Your driver will help with the ticket-purchasing process and arrange a meeting point for after your visit.

13:30–15:00 – Visit Jingdong Grand Cave

Explore the illuminated underground passages of Jingdong Grand Cave at your own pace. The cave features spacious chambers, stalactites, stalagmites, stone curtains, flowstone formations, and other natural geological features.

The interior remains cool throughout the year, so carrying a light jacket is recommended even during summer. The walking route can be damp and uneven in places; comfortable shoes with non-slip soles are essential.

15:00–17:00 – Return to Beijing

Meet your driver outside Jingdong Grand Cave and travel back to your hotel in Beijing. Arrival is expected at approximately 17:00, but the exact time may vary according to traffic conditions.
