Founded on August 2, 2003, the Shanghai Lake Malaren Golf Resort (上海美兰湖高尔夫俱乐部) is located in Luodian New Town (罗店新镇), Baoshan District (宝山区), Shanghai. The resort covers an area of 3,400 acres and features a 36-hole international standard golf course designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus (杰克•尼克劳斯), including the prestigious Celebrity Course (名人赛球场) and the Golden Bear Course (金熊球场).

Since its opening, Lake Malaren has played host to numerous major international golf tournaments, including the Lake Malaren Shanghai Masters (美兰湖上海名人赛), which set a global single-event record with a $5 million purse in 2011.
