Construction of Beijing Junshan Golf Club began in the context of the 2004 national “golf course construction ban” policy, yet it successfully opened in September 2008. The first nine holes were playable upon opening, with American designer Bob McFarland (鲍勃·麦克法兰) leading the project. General Manager Yu Bingshu (余秉澍) added unique story elements to each hole.

The second nine holes were completed in May 2010, forming a full 18-hole PGA championship course. In 2013, the club transitioned from a private villa facility to a public-access golf club, expanding its amenities to include medical stations, restaurants, and additional leisure facilities.
