Overview

Anhui Nanshan Xingmao Hotel Golf Course (安徽六安市兴茂南山高尔夫俱乐部) is a scenic golf destination located in Lu’an City (六安市), Anhui Province (安徽省), China. The golf club was invested and developed by Xingmao Group (兴茂集团) and is situated within the Xingmao Youran Nanshan Tourist Resort (兴茂悠然南山旅游度假区) in Jin’an District (金安区). Covering an area of approximately 1,800 mu (about 120 hectares), the golf course blends natural hills, forests, and lakes to create a relaxing and picturesque environment for golfers and travelers alike.

The club features an 18-hole international-standard golf course designed by renowned Taiwanese golf course designer Lin Fuming (林福明). The course stretches 7,315 yards with a par of 72, using Bermuda grass for the fairways and Bent grass for the greens. In addition to the main course, the club also offers a 32-bay driving range covering 35,000 square meters, making it a comprehensive golf and leisure destination in western Anhui. It is also one of only seven golf courses in Anhui Province.

Golf Course Overview

The Anhui Nanshan Xingmao Golf Club (安徽六安市兴茂南山高尔夫俱乐部) officially opened in October 2011. Located along Nanshan Avenue (南山大道) on Liushu Road (六舒路) in Zhongdian Township (中店乡), the course is set in a beautiful mountainous and forested landscape.

The 18-hole championship course features a par of 72 and a total length of 7,315 yards, making it a mountain-hill forest-style golf course. The design carefully preserves the region’s natural terrain, maintaining original hills, dense vegetation, and scenic lakes. Numerous lakes are interconnected throughout the course, weaving between the fairways and forming natural water hazards alongside bright white sand bunkers.

The course layout follows a return-style routing.

• The front nine holes are narrow and strategic, winding through tall forests and rolling hills.

• The back nine holes open into wider landscapes with fairways running alongside lakes and streams.

Surrounded by layered hills, flowing streams, and natural woodland, the course offers both challenging play and breathtaking scenery.

Golf Course Design

The golf course was designed by Mr. Lin Fuming (林福明), a well-known golf course architect from Taiwan. The design style combines mountain landscapes, forest terrain, and lakeside scenery, creating a harmonious balance between sport and nature.

The front nine holes emphasize precision with narrow fairways and hidden landing areas. The back nine holes provide more open views, extending along lakes, small creeks, bamboo forests, unique rock formations, and countryside scenery.

To enhance the golfing experience, the course also features electronic scoreboards that update player scores in real time, ensuring transparency and convenience during tournaments.

Driving Directions

Travelers can reach the club via G42 Shanghai–Chengdu Expressway (G42沪蓉高速) or G40 Shanghai–Shaanxi Expressway (G40沪陕高速). After exiting at Lu’an North Exit (六安北出口), follow Yingbin Avenue (迎宾大道) and National Highway 312 (312国道) toward Shucheng County (舒城县) to reach the resort area.
