• Le Petit Paris(小巴黎）

It is one of the most popular bars for visitors. The romantic love story of its host from France and his Chinese wife has been going round for a long time. Another attraction here is the antiphonal singing by the local Naxi maidens at night. Of course, the audiences also can participate in the singing no matter where you are from.

• Sakura（樱花屋）

It was opened by a Chinese and his Korean wife in 1996. At present, not only a bar but also a western food restaurant has been built here. The prices are not very expensive and the food served is delicious here.

It is in Naxi-style and became so famous after a cognominal TV series made here. It is also related with a beautiful love story of Naxi people.

‣ Maintenance Fare

When visiting some places in Lijiang, travelers should show the staff the Maintenance tickets. Those places include Lijiang Old Town, Wangu Tower, Mu’s Residence, Shuhe Old Town, Baisha Mural Painting, Black Dragon Pool Park, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, etc. This ticket is valid for a week when you are in Lijiang.

‣ What to Pack

Travel light when strolling in the old town. Bring a camera with you that you can take photos along the way. Sunlight is very strong in Lijiang, wear sun protection such as hats, sunglasses and use sun block, etc.

‣ The Best Times to Visit

The best times to visit Lijiang are from late March to May and mid-October to November. In winter, the low nightly temperatures are a little above freezing. So bring plenty of clothes. Bring rain gear for the rainy season between June and September.

‣ Altitude Sickness

The altitude is about 2,400 meters or about 7,800 feet. Some people may get some altitude sickness. So take it easy the first day or two.
