Dalian Transportation

Dalian (大连) is a coastal mountain city on the southern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula, distinct from the flat cities of Northeast China. By Air – Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport (大连周水子国际机场)

Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport (DLC) is the city’s sole civil airport, covering domestic and limited international routes. It is exceptionally close to downtown, making it one of the most convenient city airports in China.

• Metro Line 2 connects the airport directly to Xinghai Square (星海广场) and Donggang (东港), approximately 25 minutes, with tickets around 2–5 RMB. No congestion makes it the most cost-effective option.
• Airport shuttle bus services run directly to Qingniwaqiao and Youhao Square, including dedicated night buses for late flights.
• Taxi / ride-hailing: Airport → Xinghai Square ~40 RMB, Airport → Donggang ~60 RMB.

Advantages: minimal commuting time from airport to city center compared with other Chinese cities.

By Rail – High-Speed and Conventional Trains

• Located in Zhongshan District’s Qingniwaqiao commercial area.
