South Slope (南坡) – Pristine Wilderness and Border Landscapes: Located in Changbai County (长白县), the South Slope is the least developed and most natural section of Changbai Mountains. It is ideal for travelers seeking peaceful scenery and less crowded experiences. Major attractions include Wangtian’e Scenic Area (望天鹅风景区) and Yalu River Grand Canyon (鸭绿江大峡谷), where visitors can enjoy volcanic landscapes, forest scenery, and views of the China–North Korea border area.
