Huaihua Transportation

Huaihua, also known as "Hecheng(鹤城)", anciently known as "Hezhou(鹤州)" and "Wuxi(五溪)", is a prefecture-level city in Hunan Province, a national comprehensive transportation hub city, a central city and a node city of the Wulingshan Economic Cooperation Zone. Since ancient times, it has been known as “the gateway to Guizhou and Yunnan” and “the throat of Hunan”. It is the “bridgehead” leading to the southwest of China's central and eastern regions.

By Air

Huaihua Zhijiang Airport(怀化芷江机场) (IATA: HJJ, ICAO: ZGCJ) is an airport serving for Huaihua, a prefecture-level city of Hunan Province. It is located in Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County, 31 kilometers from the downtown. At present, flights to Changsha, Beijing and Guangzhou are available in the airport. Compared with Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport, Zhijiang Airport is much more convenient to get to the famous county-Fenghuang County.

By Train

There are two railway stations in Huaihua, namely, Huaihua Railway Station and Huaihua South Railway Station. The former  is located at No. 1 Hezhou Road, Hecheng Distract. The latter is located at the east of South Hutian Avenue in Hecheng District. Both stations mainly operate trains to Shanghai, Nanchang, Changsha, Hangzhou, Guiyang, Kunming, Chengdu. The long-distance trains that pass through Huaihua go to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing. Some short-distance trains reach to Changsha, Zhangjiajie, Zhuzhou and other cities in Hunan Province.
