Changde Transportation

Changde is adjacent to Dongting Lake to the east, Yiyang to the south, Wuling and Xuefeng Mountains to the west, and Hubei Province to the north. How to Get to Changde

By Air

Changde Taohuayuan Airport is located in Doumuhu Town, Dingcheng District, Changde, about 12.2 km away from the downtown. It was built in 1958 and is now a grade 4C Civil Airport. It is the main branch airport in Hunan. It is 12.2 km away from Changde City and is connected with two expressways, one from Changde to Zhangjiajie, the other from Changde to Jishou. At present, it runs 8 airlines that can offer flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Kunming, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Wuhan, Chongqing.

Airport Transfer

• Shuttle Bus: It is 10 yuan/person, which passes through CA Ticket Office, Hongda Hotel, Junction of Danyang Road, Zhanbei Bridge, Qiaonan Dayuanpan, Shopping Mall, Taohuayuan Airport.
• Taxi: It is about 40-50 yuan from Taohuayuan Airport to the Downtown of Changde and vice versa.

By Train

Changde Railway Station is located at the end of Wuling Road in the northern part of the urban area. This is the station with the largest prefecture-level railway station in Hunan Province. There are regular trains go to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiangfan, Zhangjiajie and Changsha, also trains from Changsha to Zhangjiajie, Yichang and Xiangfan pass Changde. Passengers can take No.15, 17, 19, 20, or 28 to the railway station.

By Long-distance Bus

Highways in Changde extend in all directions. National Highways 319 and 207 run through the city from east to west. Changsha-Changde Expressway has come into use. Changde-Jishou (Guizhou Province) are available now. The construction of Changde-Zhangjiajie Expressway is under full swing. What's more, Changde-Jinzhou, Changde-Yueyang and Changde-Shaoyang Highways are under construction. Highways from Changde reach Changsha, Xiangtan, Zhangjiajie and other cities in Hunan Province and Shanghai, Xi'an, Shantou, Wenzhou, Wuchang, Luoyang and Guilin. In Changde, there are main three bus stations, namely, Changde General Bus Station, Changde South Bus Station, Changde North Bus Station.
