Xiantao (仙桃), formerly known as Mianyang (沔阳), is a county-level city directly administered by Hubei Province and an important member of the Wuhan Metropolitan Area. Located in the heart of the Jianghan Plain, Xiantao is a typical water-town city shaped by the Yangtze River and Han River systems.
