Enshi’s attractions are widely distributed across Enshi City, Lichuan, Badong, Hefeng, Jianshi, Xianfeng, Xuan’en, and Laifeng. Because many scenic areas are located in mountainous regions with winding roads, self-driving is one of the most convenient ways to explore the prefecture. High-speed rail connections and Enshi Xujiaping Airport (恩施许家坪机场) also make access easier from major Chinese cities.

The best travel seasons are spring and autumn when temperatures are comfortable and mountain scenery is at its best. Summer is especially popular because Enshi’s mountain climate is cooler than many lowland cities, making it an excellent escape destination. Autumn is ideal for colorful forests, canyon photography, and hiking.
