Zhengzhou (郑州) lies in north-central Henan Province and serves as one of the main transport hubs of Central China. Zhengzhou travel maps are useful for locating downtown attractions such as Henan Museum (河南博物院), Erqi Memorial Tower (二七纪念塔) and Zhengzhou Railway Station, while Zhengzhou East Railway Station and the modern Zhengdong New District (郑东新区) form another important urban area farther east.
The main attractions outside downtown are spread in several directions. The Yellow River Scenic Area (黄河风景名胜区) lies north of the city, Xinzheng (新郑) and the Yellow Emperor cultural sites are to the south, while Dengfeng (登封), Mount Song (嵩山) and Shaolin Temple (少林寺) lie southwest of Zhengzhou. Regional maps are particularly helpful for planning day trips because these attractions are separated from the central urban sightseeing area.
A wider Henan travel map shows Zhengzhou’s central position between Kaifeng to the east and Luoyang to the west, with convenient connections toward Dengfeng, Xinzheng, Xuchang, Anyang and other Central Plains destinations. For most visitors, using a downtown map together with a regional Henan map is the easiest way to plan city sightseeing, Shaolin Temple excursions and longer routes such as Kaifeng – Zhengzhou – Dengfeng – Luoyang.
