Equipped with aviation, railway, and highway, Guiyang is one of significant traffic tubs and regional logistics centers in connecting the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta in southwest of China. Sichuan-Guizhou, Hunan-Guizhou, Guizhou-Guangxi and Guiyang-Kunming 4 railways are intersected here, and Guiyang-Guangzhou, Changsha-Kunming, Chongqing-Guizhou, Chengdu-Guiyang, Guiyang-Nanning and other high-speed railway have been built one after another.

How to Get to Guiyang

At present, Guiyang can be available by air, train and long-distance bus from other major cities, such as Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai and Xi'an.

Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport
Located in the east of Guiyang, 11 kilometers away from downtown, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is convenient to get to downtown, around 10 minutes by car. At present, Guiyang Airport has 90 domestic routes and 14 international and regional routes, connecting Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei, Xi'an and other major cities in China, as well as international cities such as Seoul, Osaka, Nagoya and Bangkok.

Airport Transportation

1. Taxicab

Guiyang airport is 11 kilometers from the downtown of Guiyang City. Taxis are easily available to get to airport. During the daytime(06:30-22:00), the flag-fall price is 10 yuan for first 3 kilometers. After 3 kilometers, 1.8 yuan per kilometer, and over 5 kilometers, each kilometer pluses 50% return fee, which means 2.7 yuan per kilometer. At night (22:00-06:30), the flag-fall price is 10 yuan for first 3 kilometers. After 3 kilometers, you need to pay 1.8 yuan per kilometer and 1 yuan for fuel surcharge.

2. Airport shuttle bus

There are 5 airport bus lines in Guiyang. It costs 10 yuan by airport bus.

You can take No.216, No.254 or No.258 bus to Guiyang Airport. It costs only 2-3 yuan.

Train

Guiyang City is the transportation center of Guizhou Province. Main railway stations in Guiyang include Guiyang Railway Station, Guiyang North Railway Station, Guiyang East Railway Station and Longdongbao Railway Station.

You are able to go to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Wuhan, and other big or medium-sized cities directly by train from Guiyang Railway Station. In addition, several tourist trains are available there, making your travel more convenient. You can take trains from Guiyang to Liupanshui, Yuping, Tongzi, Duyun, Anshun, Zunyi to continue your trip.

2. Guiyang North Railway Station

Guiyang North Railway Station, Guiyang Bei for short, is a high-speed Railway Station in the southwest of China. The station is a stop on the Shanghai-Kunming, Guizhou-Guangzhou, Chengdu-Guizhou, Sichuan-Guizhou high speed railway lines. It is easy to get there by light rail and public bus.

3. Guiyang East Railway Station贵阳东站

Guiyang East Railway Station, Guiyang Dong for short, is the intermediate station of Shanghai-Kunming High Speed Railway, also the departure station/terminal station of Guizhou-Guangzhou high-speed railway, Guiyang-Kaiyang railway and Chongqing-Guiyang railway.

4. Longdongbao Railway Station龙洞堡高铁站
Address: Longdongbao International Airport, Nanming District, Guiyang贵阳市南明区龙洞堡机场

The Longdongbao Railway Station is within 5 minutes' walking distance from the terminal of Longdongbao International Airport. High-speed trains to Guangzhou and Nanning are available here.

Long-distance Bus

Focusing on Guiyang, Guizhou has basically formed the highway network of connecting various cities and counties. With Guiyang as the center, the expressways connect all famous scenic spots, ancient towns and minority villages. It takes only 2-3 hours to move from one attraction to another by expressway. Regular bus and travel bus are available from Guiyang to Kaili, Huangguoshu Waterfalls Scenic Area, Tongren, Yuping, Duyun, Anshun and other major destinations in Guizhou.

How to Get Around Guiyang

1. Taxi

When getting around Guiyang, taxi is always a good choice, convenient and efficient.

2. City Bus

Buses are running on the main roads of a city. In Guiyang, you can get to bus stations, railway stations and airport conveniently by city bus. Its fare is 1-3 yuan.

3. Bicycle

Nowadays, bicycle sharing can be seen around at campuses, bus stops and subway stations in the cities. And in the scenic spots, it's not hard to find a place to rent a bike.

5. Subway

In Guiyang, the first subway line(Metro Line 1) was tested on December 28, 2017, and opened on December 1, 2018. Another line is under construction. The Guiyang subway is just getting started and still needs improvement.
