Bijie is a regional central city at the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and Chongqing, an important regional comprehensive transportation hub in southwest China, and an important channel connecting the pearl river delta to southwest China and the Yangtze river delta to ASEAN.

How to Get to Bijie

Long-distance bus is the most commonly used means of transportation in Bijie. In 2013, the airport was completed and put into use, and taking airplane became the fastest way. At present, the urban area in Bijie has no railway station, the nearest railway station to Bijie downtown is the Weining Caohai railway station.

Air

Bijie Feixiong Airport(毕节飞雄机场)
Bijie Feixiong Airport is located in Dafang county of Bijie city, Guizhou province, 18 kilometers of straight-line distance away from Bijie city. In June 2013, Bijie Feixiong airport was officially opened to traffic, marking the formal formation of Bijie's three-dimensional transportation network. Since its opening, the throughput ranks the third in the whole province. The air routes from Bijie to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Guiyang, Xi'an, Xiamen, Nanning, Sanya, Lijiang and Kunming have been fully opened. Bijie Baili Azalea General Airport(under construction) will further highlight the aviation advantage.

Train

There is no railway station in Bijie downtown. The nearest railway station to Bijie downtown is Bijie Weining Caohai railway station. Tourists who choose to travel by train can arrive at Caohai first and then transfer to Bijie by bus. Besides Weining Caohai railway station, Bijie also has Zhijin railway station, Dafang south railway station and Nayong railway station three main railway stations.

1. Weining Caohai Railway Station(威宁草海站)
Caohai railway station is one of the earliest county-level railway stations in Guizhou province. It is located in Caohai town of Weining county, Bijie city, Guizhou province. There is a passenger station and a cargo station in the county seat. It is the main distribution center for migrant workers in the surrounding areas. Trains from Caohai railway station to Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Kunming, Guiyang, Chongqing, Liupanshui and other places have been opened.

2. Zhijin Railway Station(织金站)
Zhijin railway station in Zhijin County of Bijie is one of the important stations on Huangzhi railway(Huangtong-Zhijin). Huangzhi railway is a part of the railway from Longchang of Sichuan province to Baise of Guangxi province.

3. Dafang South Railway Station(大方南站)
Dafang south railway station is an intermediate station of the new-built Zhijin-Bijie railway, located in Dafang county. There are trains between Guiyang and Dafang, Zhijin and Dafang.

4. Nayong Railway Station(纳雍站)
Nayong railway station, located in Shaguozhai village of Yongxi town, Nayong county, Bijie city, Guizhou province, is an important hub station in Bijie. Nayong station was officially put into use on January 10, 2016.

Long-distance Bus

National highway 321, national highway 326, Guibi high-grade highway leading to the provincial capital Guiyang, Bijie to Weining expressway, Qianxi to Zhijin expressway, Hangrui expressway(Zunyi to Bijie section), Xiarong expressway (Qingzhen to Zhijin), Xiarong expressway(Zhijin to Nayong section) run through the city's internal and external traffic networks. Yibi expressway(Yibin-Bijie) is under construction.

Note: It mainly operates buses within Bijie area, such as the buses from Bijie downtown to Yanzikou Town, Bapingzhai Town, Xinglong Township, Qingshuipu Town and other towns and townships.

Every day, there are buses from Guiyang Jinyang Bus Station to Bijie bus terminals, Qianxi County, Baili Azalea and other places in Bijie. Also, airport lines and tourist lines from Guiyang to Bijie are available. The tourist lines depart from Guiyang water resources bureau to Baili Azalea Scenic Spot and Zhijin cave scenic area, with 3-3.5 hours' drive and about 125 yuan's round trip ticket. Airport lines usually depart from Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport to Bijie Bus Terminal, with 3.5 hours' drive and about 150 yuan's one-way ticket.

How to Get Around Bijie

Bus

At present, there are at least 13 bus routes in Bijie downtown. The first departure time of the bus is at 6:30 and the last departure time is slightly different, mainly concentrating at 20:30. All are unmanned ticket buses, the ticket price is 1 yuan.

Taxi

At present, the charge standard of taxi in Bijie is: the starting mileage is 3 kilometers, the starting price is 5 yuan, and 0.7 yuan for every 500 meters over 3 kilometers, if less than 500 meters, it will be charged according to 500 meters. If more than 10 kilometers (including 10 kilometers), it will be negotiated by the driver and the passenger.
