The Yellow River Bridge in Guide County, Hainan Prefecture

Guide Yellow River Bridge (贵德黄河大桥), also known as Yellow River Clear Bridge (黄河清大桥) or Hutouya Yellow River Bridge (虎头崖黄河大桥), is located on the northern side of Guide County town, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. It is an excellent viewpoint for experiencing the famous landscape of “the Yellow River is clearest in Guide.” The orange arch-shaped bridge spans the Yellow River, while the river below appears emerald green. Red Danxia hills rise on both sides, creating a broad and impressive river-valley landscape at an elevation of approximately 2,220 meters.

1. The bridge is free to visit and there is no entrance ticket. However, it is an active public road with frequent vehicles. When taking photographs, stay on the inner side of the pedestrian walkway and never linger in the traffic lanes.
2. Winds can be strong around the river valley, so bring a light jacket. Ultraviolet radiation is also strong, making sun protection important.
3. Do not descend into dangerous sections of the riverbank or riverbed, and keep a safe distance from the water.
4. During the flood season, the Yellow River may temporarily become more turbid, which can affect the clarity and visual appeal of the water.
