1. Stilted Building Complex & Ancient Alleys: Wooden stilted houses stacked along the hillside, with cobblestone lanes winding through. Ancient trees tower around, creating a serene, timeless atmosphere.
2. Nan Hua Wind-Rain Bridge & Bala River: The bridge spans the crystal-clear Bala River, serving as both a crossing and a resting spot; ideal for photos with the river and mountain backdrop.

3. Lusheng Square & Cultural Performances: Regular Miao shows include Lusheng dancing, copper drum stamping, and folk singing. You can also join in, rent exquisite Miao costumes and silver headdresses for photos, and try making glutinous rice cakes.

4. Village Viewpoint: Climb to the hillside viewing platform for a panoramic shot of the entire village, the Bala River meandering below, and the terraced fields in the distance. Dawn and dusk are perfect for photography.
5. Traditional Festivals: The liveliest are Sisters’ Meal Festival (lunar February 2), Zongba Festival (May), and Eat New Festival (June). Villagers hold bullfighting, climbing competitions, drum processions, and grand banquets—don’t miss if you visit during these times.
6. Miao Cuisine & Crafts: Taste local specialties like sour soup fish, homemade rice wine, bamboo-tube glutinous rice; watch/learn batik, embroidery, and silverware making at small workshops.
7. Xinfeng Temple & Ancient Granaries: Cultural sites that reflect the village’s history and life customs.

Visiting Tips

• Best Time: Spring (March–May, blooming flowers) and autumn (October–November, cool weather, golden light); avoid summer heat and winter chill if possible. Early morning mist or sunset light is great for shooting the village.
• Etiquette: Respect local traditions—ask permission before photographing villagers; do not touch silver ornaments or costumes without consent; when participating in the welcome wine ceremony, drink in small sips as a sign of politeness.
• Budget: Free entry. Costume rental ~30–50 RMB/person; meals at farmhouses ~30–50 RMB/person; no need for excessive spending.
• Stay: There are 4 characteristic homestays and 3 farmhouses in the village, offering authentic Miao-style accommodation and home-cooked meals.
