Lulin Lake of Mount Lushan in Jiujiang

Known as East Lake, Lulin Lake is located in the Lulin Basin of the East Valley of Mount Lushan, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, between Yuping Peak and Xingzhou Peak, at an altitude of about 1040 meters. Originally a glacial valley covered with reeds, it was transformed into a man-made alpine lake by building a dam in 1954 and completed in 1955. It serves as both the main water source for Guling Town on Mount Lushan and a popular tourist destination integrating natural scenery and cultural heritage. It is a must-visit spot on the east route of Mount Lushan and has been visited and swam in many times by Chairman Mao Zedong.

• Ticket: No separate ticket, included in the general ticket of Mount Lushan Scenic Area. Sightseeing bus is an additional purchase. Lushan Museum is free to visit.
