Jinfeng Agricultural Science Park in Langfang

Jinfeng Agricultural Science Park (金丰农科园) is a national 4A-level scenic area located at the northern end of Heping Road, Guangyang District, Langfang City, Hebei Province. As a National Youth Agricultural Science Popularization Demonstration Base, it combines modern agricultural greenhouse exhibitions, tropical plants, farming culture, fruit and vegetable picking, and ecological leisure experiences.

With large indoor greenhouses that are not affected by seasonal changes, the park remains green throughout the year and has become a popular destination in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region for family trips, agricultural education, and countryside sightseeing. The core area covers approximately 3,000 mu.

Seasonal Recommendations

Jinfeng Agricultural Science Park can be visited all year round, with April to October being the best period when the outdoor agricultural areas are full of greenery.

During winter, visitors can focus on the indoor temperature-controlled greenhouses, which provide a warm environment away from cold winds. From January to April, visitors can enjoy the strawberry picking season, while August to October is the harvest period for various fruits and vegetables, offering richer picking experiences.

Daily Visiting Time

The park is open from 08:30 to 17:30, with entry stopping at 17:00.

Morning visits are recommended as visitor numbers are usually lower, making it ideal for exploring exhibition halls and participating in educational activities. Fruit and vegetable picking activities operate according to seasonal conditions, so visitors are advised to confirm availability in advance.

Transportation Guide

By Car

Navigate to “Jinfeng Agricultural Science Park (金丰农科园)”. The park is located in northern Langfang city and provides free parking facilities. Visitors driving from Beijing can reach the park in about one hour via the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway (京台高速).

Public Transportation

Visitors can take Langfang city buses to the nearby area and then take a taxi. There is no direct bus route to the entrance, so self-driving is recommended.

Inside the Scenic Area

The greenhouse exhibition halls and outdoor agricultural areas are explored on foot. Some exhibition halls are relatively far apart, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

🌱 High-tech Agriculture Exhibition Hall (高新技术馆)

This hall showcases modern agricultural technologies, including aerial potato cultivation, soilless hydroponics, and pipeline planting systems. Visitors can also see giant pumpkins, space-bred crops, and innovative agricultural products.

It provides a fascinating experience that challenges traditional farming concepts and is one of the key educational areas for agricultural study tours.

🌴 Tropical Style Greenhouse (热带风情馆)

This large temperature-controlled glass greenhouse recreates a tropical environment with plants such as banana trees, mango trees, and jackfruit trees.

Featuring small bridges, flowing water, and rainforest-style landscapes, the greenhouse allows visitors to experience the scenery of southern China throughout the year, even during winter.

🍊 Jiangnan Orchard Greenhouse (江南果园馆)

Designed with the style of Jiangnan gardens, this greenhouse features pavilions, water landscapes, and displays of southern fruit tree varieties.

With its elegant environment and peaceful atmosphere, it is a popular location for photography and relaxing walks.

🚜 Farming Culture Exhibition Area (农耕文化展区)

This area displays traditional farming tools and historical agricultural equipment, recreating scenes from traditional rural production.

Visitors can learn about the agricultural history and farming traditions of northern China.

🍓 Fruit and Vegetable Picking Garden (果蔬采摘园)

The picking garden offers seasonal experiences including strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, and other fresh fruits and vegetables.

Picking activities are charged separately according to the amount collected and are especially popular among families with children.

🐰 Petting Zoo and Outdoor Countryside Lake Area (萌宠乐园&户外田园湖区)

This area provides opportunities for interaction with small animals, as well as large lawns and lakeside landscapes for walking and relaxation.

Visitors can enjoy outdoor leisure activities such as camping and picnics, but open fires are strictly prohibited.

A complete visit usually takes 3–4 hours. Visitors focusing only on indoor exhibition halls can spend about 1.5–2 hours. The park can also be combined with Langfang Cultural and Arts Center (廊坊文化艺术中心) to create a one-day Langfang city tour.

Local Food

The park features ecological restaurants serving farm-style dishes and fresh local vegetables. Shops inside exhibition halls are limited, so visitors should bring drinking water.

1. The park charges an entrance fee. Fruit picking and petting zoo activities require separate payment. Students and senior visitors can enjoy discounts with valid identification. Ticket prices are subject to current regulations, and online ticket purchase is recommended.
2. Greenhouses can have high temperatures and humidity levels. Wear comfortable and breathable clothing. Do not touch plants, agricultural facilities, or pick crops without permission.
3. Follow staff instructions during fruit-picking activities and do not pull or damage fruits and vegetables.
4. For animal feeding activities, only use the food provided by the scenic area. Do not bring outside food to feed the animals.
5. Take all rubbish with you and help protect the agricultural environment of the park.
