Shanghai Grand Theatre is located in the people's Square in the city center, covering an area of 11528 square meters, with a total building area of 70000 square meters and a total building height of 40 meters. 

The Shanghai Grand Theatre is designed by the French architectural design company chabangjie. The whole building is like a crystal palace woven by notes. It was officially opened on August 27, 1998. At present, the Shanghai Grand Theatre has become a display platform for world-class art works, an exchange platform for international art activities and a promotion platform for public art education.

Theatre Stage

Shanghai Grand Theatre has the stage equipment with the largest capacity area and the most movement changes in the world. The stage covers an area of 1700 square meters and can be divided into four parts: the main stage, the back stage and the left and right side stages. The main stage covers an area of 728 square meters, the back stage covers an area of 360 square meters, and the left and right stages cover an area of 270 square meters respectively. The overall size is the largest in Asia.

There are 1800 grandstands in the Grand Theatre, which are divided into three layers. The proportion of grandstands in each layer is visual, which is called "French style" structure. There are 1100 main halls, 300 on the second floor and 400 on the third floor. The central theatre is located on the first floor of the Grand Theatre. The auditorium can accommodate more than 600 audiences in three floors. The small theatre can accommodate up to 300 people on the fifth floor of the Grand Theatre.

Gallery

The gallery of Shanghai Grand Theatre was established in 1999. After its expansion in August 2005, it covers an area of nearly 1000 square meters, with a total exhibition line length of 250 meters. With elegant environment, complete facilities and advanced management, it is an ideal place for artists to display their works.

Maxim West Restaurant is located on the West floor of Shanghai Grand Theatre. It is an elegant, warm and romantic place with Paris atmosphere. The restaurant provides you with business lunch, tea time, romantic dinner, happy hour, Sunday set meal and sandwiches as well as convenient meals before the performance of the Grand Theatre.

The service time of the restaurant is from 12:00 at noon to 12:00 at night. Welcome to maxim western restaurant at different times.
